Katzenbach is a good writer, however this story was absurd. I hate murder mysteries when the killer is some totally random person. And not a short book either, so very disappointing after investing so much time.

A very lazy and cop-out way of writing. Methinks I will not be reading any more of this guy’s books. His earler work was so hisstoria better thought out. May 10, Pao rated it did not like it. No sabe escribir finales. I matzenbach not sure why I wasted my time with this one.

I listened to it as an audiobook and that might be the only reason I even finished it. An unpleasant reading experience with a lame ending.

Confusing and silly at times. Also, it rubbed me the wrong way that Lucy Kyoto Jones, partly Asian and with a scar on her face, was described as exotic at the beginning.

I think the premise of a murderer inside hietoria mental insitution hostoria a great one – I guess I was expecting a bit more action and substance.

Hostoria, there’s amazing attention to detail, but that detail seems to be repeated over and over Something about the author’s style does appeal to me – he has an almost poetic way of writing – I just wish what he was writing about was a bit more interesting. I thought for sure half way through the book I had figured out who the “Angel” was.

If so it would h I think the premise of a murderer inside a mental insitution is a great one – I guess I was expecting a bit more action and substance. If so it would have been an interesting twist and kept me reading all the way through to the end to see how the author would wrap it all up.

I don’t want to give it away but the ending was very anticlimatic with the realization of who the “angel” was. I katzenbaach put up with all the unbelievable aspects of this “tale” just to get to a satisfying end and was let down.

I did enjoy the characters of the various patients in the asylum but overall the book seemed too LONG. I have not could understand why, for some authors because the generalization is a mistake, the thriller’ books wrote by the same author have a lot of similar each other. Maybe, the same author use a particular way to write, besides the logic process of the discourse and the successive actions approach is the same. For this reason just few times I have found myself in front of a book in this gender, and have not felt like I am reading the same book with other characters, story and scenario; but t I have not could understand why, for some authors because the generalization is a mistake, the thriller’ books wrote by the same author have a lot of similar each other.

For this reason just few times I have found myself in front of a book in this gender, and have not felt like I am reading the same book with other characters, story and scenario; but the felling in the middle of the story is always the same. Madman’ Tale is an interesting and twist story but I could not connect with it, I finished joohn all the time I was waiting the moment or shift as in The Analyst but it never came. Tried to read this last summer. Couldn’t even make it halfway through. Just not interesting to me. Very rarely do I abandon an audio book but with this one I couldn’t get past the first hour. Boooooring and full of cliches. I made it through a little over half of this novel and it wasn’t a pleasant read. Too many unrelatable characters, not enough plot development to make it worth continuing.
