Maybe the point is really the growth of Clinton and Alex – which is actually handled pretty well – but still, it would have been nice to have a little bit more information about the solving of the crime. He uses foreshadowing by showing the reasons why people would think Clinton might commit a crime like that, and why Alex would blame it on him.
